I've been practicing latte art lately. It's so much fun! I need more practice💪
If you have any tips, please share with me!

The preference of the strength of the matcha flavor will be different from person to person. Please adjust to your liking.

Matcha Latte (for 2 per)
1-2 tsp matcha powder
2 tbsp hot water
2 cups milk
1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Vegan Matcha Latte
Use 1 cup of coconut milk and 1 cup of unsweetened plant-based milk (my favorite is almond milk) instead of 2 cups of milk.

Another couple of days in our lives living and working in beautiful Barcelona. This one has a lot of vegan food featured, including awesome vegan tacos from Gallo Santo and the most healing lunch at Honest Greens in El Born. We have a couple of coffee shop fails as we search for somewhere to work in the day, but have settled on using the flat for now, until we find a co-working space or coffee shop nearby. It’s all good though as we get out and enjoy yoga by the beach and go for a swim most mornings at the moment. I absolutely love living and working here in this city and it really helps it’s so vegan friendly too! Next vlog I will share more fun things to do around Barcelona and the first filming day for my membership, My Mindful Movement here - I’m excited and nervous! Thanks so much for supporting this channel and let’s chat in the comments…. What are you having for dinner tonight? Lots of love Hels x x x

You don’t have to go vegan to fight climate change. Research shows that small changes to our diets can make big differences.

Climate Lab is produced by the University of California in partnership with Vox. Hosted by conservation scientist Dr. M. Sanjayan, the videos explore the surprising elements of our lives that contribute to climate change and the groundbreaking work being done to fight back. Featuring conversations with experts, scientists, thought leaders and activists, the series demystifies topics like nuclear power, food waste and online shopping to make them more approachable and actionable for those who want to do their part. Sanjayan is an alum of UC Santa Cruz, a Visiting Researcher at UCLA and the CEO of Conservation International.

The University of California is a pioneer on climate research, renewable energy and environmental sustainability. UC is dedicated to providing scalable solutions to help the world bend the curve on climate change. UC research is also paving the way for the university to meet its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2025.

Animal food production is a major factor in the acceleration of climate change, responsible for over 18% of greenhouse gas emissions – more than all modes of transport combined – while animal agriculture is responsible for 91% of destruction in the Amazon.

D-Fuse proposes an exploration of our planet’s fragility and the effects of man-made climate change, taking inspiration from Charles and Ray Eames’ film, Powers of Ten and the Relative Size of Things in the Universe, which illustrates the cosmos as an arena of continuity and change, using the system of exponential powers to visualize the importance of scale. Powers of Vegan adapts this concept to highlight the disastrous impact of humanity’s energy, water usage and food production models. Key to doing so is the creation of 360-video content offering viewers a fully immersive VR experience at each stage of a fantastic voyage... ...A close-up of a cow eating grass that pulls back to first reveal the extent of deforestation across the Amazon Rainforest, then our planet as a vulnerable speck within the universe; the destructiveness and insignificance of mankind is, hence, made painfully clear, suggesting that, unless we become better stewards of the Earth, its resources will soon be depleted, forcing us to seek a new stellar home.

Contining this journey at a 10-to-the-tenth metres per second, the audience returns from deep space to Earth, homing in on the cow again, entering its blood stream while viewing data visualisations of just how harmful current farmng systems can be, as well as positive messages promoting change.

In 1998, Powers of Ten was preserved in the United States’ Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.” We intend this work to be equally enlightening, ensuring that the audience’s VR experience is interactive, meaningful and thrilling throughout, so that they might further reflect on the issues ‘dramatised’ long after it has ended.

D-Fuse’s pedigree as creators of experimental documentary content will ensure that high quality outcomes are delivered on-time and in-budget, previous works – notably the Small Global installations, which translated data about consumption into an immersive environment – having been shown at events including Sonar, Eyebeam and TriBeCa Film Festival and Prix Ars Electronica . Of further relevance to this proposal are the Carbon Crisis Blipverts, a series of animations exploring aspects of global warming, the Deforestation Blipvert forming part of Al Gore's current An Inconvenient Truth presentation.

I want to acknowledge the indigenous land that I was on for the duration of my stay - While here for about a week, my intention was to leave as little of a mark as possible, acknowledging my positionality & knowing that I am just a temporary visitor on this land that is not my home- supporting indigineous farmers and businesses whenever possible & spending my days outside, gently in nature. I visited last month & will not be returning anytime soon so as to honor the island’s wishes. Thank you for having me and giving me the space to heal and shed. I am eternally grateful.

Reptiles often eat other animals and for some that can be a deal breaker. Are there any reptiles that only eat plants? Well yes, and these five make amazing pets!

Rdents for some people is a deal breaker so the logical alternative would be an herbivore reptile that only eats plants. Great news, there are several great salad munching animals to choose from. If you are into big reptiles a rock iguana or a rhino iguana might be the right option for you! Cyclura as a family are so interesting and unique. These big lizards can be amazing pets for the right keeper and they are 100% herbivores. A smaller but still sizable option if you're looking for an arboreal lizard might be a monkey tailed skink. Monkey tail skinks have a wicked prehensile tail and can have an amazing temperament for an arboreal species. of course these skinks only eat plants which makes the diet rather easy to take care of and overall these can be great pets! A more common vegan lizard would be a uromastyx. There are several species ranging from bright colours to more drab colors and small or large options too. All Uromastyx eat plants and seeds only making them great pet options for those keepers who want a really cool lizard buddy with super hot and dry environments. Tortoises can't be overlooked, well most of them. Red foots and other similar tortoises do eat some protein but most other tortoises are 100% plant based shell bois! Want something really unique? Chuckwalla lizards are really cool, come in many colors and of course that diet it is 100% leafy greens and other plants!
