In this video, I spill my heart out about the huge dilemma I faced having gone vegan as a cat owner.

Sorry the picture is out of focus until about halfway through. No idea what happened? I didn't change anything? :/

*** Bio ***

I'm Paul Kerton. Personal Trainer, Vegan Nutritionist and Public Speaker. Not so long ago, in a misguided attempt to try and grow muscle as quickly as possible, I ended up eating more animal products than probably anyone you've ever met. Through research, I came to learn the deleterious effects that eating even quite trivial amounts of animal products has on one's health and through personal experience, I found that far from being a hindrance to sports performance, a well planned vegan diet is actually optimal! Then with an open heart, I looked at how we treat animals in order for them to end up on our plates and it shook me to the core. I could not believe that for so long I fell for the lies that others tell us, that we tell ourselves, in order that we perpetuate this destructive behaviour. Destructive to ourselves, the beautiful, intelligent sentient beings that are here with us and indeed our planet. To try and put right my part in all of this I was compelled to overcome my fear of being filmed for YouTube and television, appearing on the radio and more recently public speaking. On a spiritual level, I've come to realise that my fellow man too is suffering. If I won't see harm come to a chicken I've never met then why would I be unkind to my brothers? If someone is being aggressive or unkind toward me, surely the suffering inflicted on them in the past is simply spilling over? Do I want to add to that, or can I step out of my ego long enough to forgive them and maybe break the cycle of negativity? This former, quick to anger "meat-head" bouncer has been on one transformative journey!

Eating a plant-based diet improves the health of your gut so you are better able to absorb the nutrients from food that support your immune system and reduce inflammation. Fiber can lower cholesterol and stabilize blood sugar and it's great for good bowel management.

How and why I went vegan! Plus before and after pictures from my 30 lbs with loss (I'm 5'9" for those wondering why I don't quite look 30 pounds heavier in the before. I'm tall so when I gain weight, it's more evenly distributed but trust me, at the start of summer 2015 I weighted 168 and by the time I moved back to LA in October 2015 I weighed 138. I weigh bit more now, about 145 which is a healthy weight for my height...but more about that in tomorrow's video :)) So in this video I talk about losing the weight, why I went vegan, how I did it, and I share some tips for new vegans or anyone curious about trying a vegan diet.

I hope you find it helpful and realize that ANYONE can be vegan. I was soooo not a "typically vegan"type....I liked vegetables, but then again I liked all food! I could not imagine this would be a path I chose but it's honestly one of the best things I've ever done :)

If you have any questions, let me know in the comments! See you tomorrow!!

How can we cook #vegan_food on a trip?
.
Today, I'm gonna show you that being #vegan is not a limitation and you can make every food everywhere.
.
Ingredients:
_Mushroom
_eggplant
_zucchini
_olive oil
_potato
_lime
_onion
_garlic
_barbecued pepper
_salt and chili
.
#vegan_family
I first sliced all the ingredients, mixed them and then barbecued.I also roasted all the overleft ingredients and smashed them with the bottom of a glass to make a strudel.
.
.
Now I'm gonna teach you how to make the strudel:
.
As you see in the video, I'd made the bread dough before and decided to make the strudel in nature.
.
.
The ingredients to bake fresh bread:
_water
_flour
_dry yeast
_alittle salt
.
When I baked the bread, I took the extra bread dough and filled it using the strudel contents and gave it some time to be baked well .
.
And this is how we cooked a yummy food in nature without any animal violence and life is still life even with no animal products.😀😊
.
.
I hope you can make such these trips or if you've had such a journey and cooked something, please write it for me So as I can learn your recipe too.
.
Don't forget that this video has a key point and I'd like you to guess it.
.
Remember to subscribe me ,So I'll make videos of my next trips and plz like and comment for me.😉
.
You can also check my instagram page out, I've posted a variety of vegan #foods there and you can follow me🤗

These mini pavs contain black activated charcoal and are made from aquafaba. If you’ve followed for a while, you’ll know this is our go-to recipe for meringues and we’ve used it many other recipes! The result this time is a soft grey meringue which nests the white coconut cream and beautiful seasonal black coloured berries perfectly. They come together quickly and are impressive to serve.

This recipe is simple to adapt to a Christmas theme, or simple to whip up to help you punch up your shopping energy. Sugar will do that! And so will eating things equal parts pretty and delicious
